At North Kildonan United Church we offer a unique blend of traditional and contemporary worship which strives to explore God’s message in relevant and engaging ways. In general we follow the established liturgy of the United Church of Canada, but periodically a variety of music and worship styles are used with an emphasis on creativity and enabling everyone to be part of the message. The prevailing goal of worship is to offer sufficient variety so as to provide a meaningful worship experience for all and ensure that it has significant relevance to us in our daily life.
Our worship services are held Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. for approximately 1 hour.
Children are invited to worship with their families and following the children’s story, go to their classes in the Lower Hall. We also offer a Baby Room at the rear of the sanctuary where services can be seen from a window and heard from speakers in this room.
During the year, we hold special services on Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Ash Wednesday and services that include other churches in the North Kildonan area. The sacrament of communion is celebrated approximately 6 times a year. Our services are enhanced by an adult choir and periodically by individual musical performances.
Through worship we endeavour to live out our commitment of love and concern for those in our faith community and in the world-wide community, consistent with God’s message to us.
